Some Park Funding Ideas
One of the sections of my project had to do with Cost and Funding.
I came up with several ideas for raising money for the dog park improvements.
This is what I cam up with:
Fundraising- I would
ask local businesses (Groom Grub Belly Rub, Pet-Smart, Petland, Doglando,
All 4Pets, etc.) to support the dog improvement project with money donations and or equipment.
For large money donations or materials- I think it
would be neat to engrave a personalized brick
for each donator, and make those
apart of the dog park sidewalk or surrounding area.
Memorial money donations- I think it would be a good idea to also have a way for dog owners
to donate money to the park in a memorial way to dogs that have already went to heaven.

Dog Toy
Drive- I would
ask local pet owners to donate durable toys that can be shared at the park.
I
would do this by posting signs around the local community businesses.
Volunteer
Call- Would ask Avalon park residents (kids, teens and
adults) to help paint,
build wood structures, and dig holes for the play tires
at the park.
Materials
donation- I would ask Hardware stores like Home Depot or Lowes to possibly donate
needed materials to build the park play area such as wood, paint, poles.
Tire
Recycle Center- I would ask for large tires to be donated to use at
the dog park.
Dog Treat Dispenser- I would
have this at the park to gain continued funding for the dog park.
Any money collected from here, could help continue to improve the park.
Owners can
insert a quarter and buy treats for their furry friends. Each treat dispenser
will have different treats with the ingredients listed in the window
for safety
of dogs and any food allergies.
If you have any suggestions, I'd really enjoy hearing them. Thanks!
