My Dog Park School Project

This project all started when I was assigned a school community improvement project.
The topic was "If I could improve something in my community it would be _________ and why?"
So naturally I chose to do something concerning animals.
Our community is fortunate enough to have a dog park, but I thought it could use
some improvements like a water fountain, some fun stuff for dogs, more benches, better latches
on the gates, and maybe even a seperate area for dogs that don't play well with others.

It took me 3 weeks to complete my project from start to finish. I learned many things while working on my project. I was able to get really creative, while practicing and learning stuff I didn't even realize I was learning.

I used Math- To figure out measurements of park, figure out averages, and percentages of dog owners  and their answers that I gathered from my surveys.
I used Art- To draw, paint, cut, glue, and create many of my ideas into a small miniature scale, when I built my dog park model.
I used Creativity- To come up with many of my ideas.
I learned Research Skills- To go online and find many of the items and the costs of each one.
I used Grammar and Spelling- To type up my report, and use correct punctuation.
I used Computer skills- To type up my report and insert pictures.
I practiced my Photography skills- to take pictures of the park, dogs playing, and my model pictures.
I practiced my Social Skills- To talk with local dog owners and tell them about my project while also asking them to take my survey.
I practiced my Speaking Skills- To present my project to my family, friends and neighbors.

If you want to see and read more about my dog park project, I will be posting more soon.
