Lucky the Lizard

I found this lizard near my grandmas house in South Florida. He was stuck in a sticky situation! And when I say sticky, I mean it. When I found him, he couldn't move, he was stuck in a pest trap made of really sticky glue. When I took a closer look, I saw he was breathing, but not able to move any of his legs, or body, even his chin was stuck to the trap. I asked my mom to help me save him.
So we gently lifted him from the trap with a plastic spoon and took him in the car with us back to our home where my mom and I could clean him up. We used a little bit of baby oil to remove the sticky glue from him. Then I used q-tips to gently wash off the remaining oil and glue. I think he knew we were trying to help him because he was a good lizard and stayed still during the "lizard bath" process. Once he was all clean I kept him in my terrarium for a while. After he was feeling better I eventually released him to be a free lizard.

This is one lucky little lizard!
